ALL FIRED UP

WELCOME TO THE ANNE RIMBAULT POTTERY STUDIO
HOME OF 'ALL FIRED UP'

Anne qualified as a potter in the late 1970’s, and besides a few years in advertising and some overseas travel, has been teaching and making pots in clay ever since.

Her studio has relocated to Tokai, Cape Town.

She's a member of Ceramics Southern Africa and has been teaching pottery for over forty years. She's been running the popular Corporate and Saturday Team-building Workshops for over fifteen years.

In Anne's own work, she focuses on Porcelain, particularly thrown dinnerware.

The All Fired Up Pottery Studio in Tokai Cape Town is easily accessible to all students. Whether you’re a first-timer, on a team-building mission, looking to buy a tagine or some unique porcelain, I'd love to help you.

Please note, all images displayed on this website feature students, studio shots and work from my forty years running a thriving studio in Johannesburg.

“Pottery is a dynamic art form, constantly evolving as it responds to newly developed techniques and changing aspirations of potters and students”

- Tony Birks ‘The complete Potter’s companion'

In Anne's own work, she prefers functional pieces, inspired by her love of cooking and entertaining. She enjoys making multi-functional pots, where lids invert as bowls, or bowls and lids work either way up.

"I'm preoccupied with throwing porcelain dinnerware that is translucent enough to see my fingers through."

Anne's porcelain studio is in a tranquil setting, viewing the garden, and her decoration is mostly inspired by nature, including seascapes, tree bark, rivers and landscapes.
